Oatmeal contains relatively many carbohydrates (about 60g out of 100g), but very few sugars (only 2g out of 100g). As a result, it has a low glycemic index, which indicates that the carbohydrates are slowly absorbed by the body. This means that your blood sugar level rises less after a meal, which will ensure that you won't be hungry again after an hour.
Oatmeal also contains beta-glucan, a fibre that will reduce your bad cholesterol, the LDL cholesterol, with a daily intake of at least 3g of beta-glucans from oats. Ik ken de DeeMuesli reeds van de Original en Red mix, die ik heerlijk vind met enkel blauwe bessen of met nog wat frambozen of aardbeien erbij. De Nut mix is voor mij het ideale nieuwe recept. Omdat je nu eenmaal niet altijd vers fruit in de koelkast hebt. Waar de Original/Red mix toch wat droogjes zijn zonder extra’s, is de Nut mix heerlijk zo uit de zak! Dus ideaal voor die dagen zonder fruit, of ook perfect om mee te nemen onderweg of op reis.
