It was early on when I realised muesli was my food crush. I would dream about eating it for breakfast every morning, crave it throughout the day. But the muesli available at retailers or online was never as I imagined. Many brands had too much sugar in their mixes and used wheat instead of more healthy oats. Their ingredients were not always organic. I missed the little extras I was keen on, the ones I added to the mix when at home in my own kitchen.
And so the experimentation began. My husband and I spent evenings and weekends, mixing rich and organic ingredients, trying to find the perfect muesli recipe. Friends and family gladly were guinea pigs, and we knew we had hit on the right combination when the response was finally unanimous – “this is the best muesli I’ve ever tasted.”
And that marked the beginning of the journey for DeeMuesli.
